This bird, sitting on the sign above the doorway, enjoyed taunting the many cats sitting below. Hopeful of an easy meal, they were waiting for it to descend, but the bird obviously had other ideas.
Again and again it would move on its perch until the cats looked up in anticipation, and then it would stop moving and just sit there until they looked away. It knew what it was doing and I think it was enjoying the torment.
The bird didn’t stop teasing the poor felines for the entire time I stood there with my camera. I finally had to leave. I wonder who tired of the bird-taunts-cat game first: the bird, or the cats?
