To help me 'get back into the swing of things' after being gone for a month, I'm bringing to you some of my favourites....
RingsThese are my favorite rings and come as a trio...I tend to never wear one without the others!
My gorgeous friends bought me the ring on the left for my birthday and I adore it! I love the color of the stone, it is a gorgeous deep red color (one of my faves!). I also love to put this midi ring (right) on the same finger, just in case it does decide to slip off. In addition to these, I also wear my flower ring (centre) which I have had for many years and continue to love it !
Scrap Book After accumulating enough magazine cuttings to actually create my own magazine, I decided to buy a scrap book and start to put everything in there. Well I am well and truly hooked. I LOVE spending an afternoon just looking at all these amazing fashion pictures and arranging them and displaying them. It's so therapeutic.
'Gimmie Brow' - by BenefitI have the kind of eye-brows that give the ladies at beauty counters heart palpitations. So when I got a Benefit voucher for my birthday, I reckoned that maybe it was time to try and tame the beasts (I emphasize try). So I decided to pick up the Benefit Gimmie Brow- an eye brow 'tamer' as I like to call it. It is really good at shaping your eye brows, whilst giving them more definition, but at the same time, a really natural look. My only negative point is that it isn't big enough! But I have been assured by a Bene-Babe that it will last me a while!
Maybelline 'The Falsies' mascaraBefore this mascara, I had the Benefit 'They're Real' mascara, which I loved using. However, being the broke student that I am, I couldn't afford to keep buying it every time. So I lowered my price range and bought this one instead (recommended by the beauty queen herself miss Tanya Burr). I. love. it. All you need is a few strokes and you really see a difference. Plus, it is really good at getting to those annoying eye-lashes in the corners of your eyes.
ELLE MagazineOne of my favorite presents that I received for my 18th birthday was a years subscription to my favorite magazine - ELLE. Fast forward a few months and my first subscribers edition arrived in the post and my love for the magazine grew instantly. I love how the cover is more of an art piece rather than something that needs to appeal to buyers in shops (i.e having advertisers on the front).
It just so happened that my first subscribers addition also coincided with Loraine Candy's 10 year anniversary of being Editor-In-Chief. She wrote a very inspiring editors note, so I of course tweeted about it...and she tweeted me back!
