Faux Bone Lintel Earrings Faux bone is a fantastic material for earrings--it is lightweight and easily formed and textured. My choice for texture so far is smooth and polished (and finished with Renaissance wax), setting up a background for other elements that are well set off by the white color of the material. Here, copper fans are sawed, filed, polished and etched, then drilled and riveted onto the faux bone. I had fun with the tops of these earrings because I have always been attracted to the architectural lintel. Earrings are 1.75" long, not counting the sterling earwire. By Shauna.
