This man, Timothy W. from Washington, allegedly set his trailer-home on fire while his wife and three children were sleeping inside. Timothy is facing a several criminal charges while the investigation is still undergoing.
After extinguishing the trailer fire, firefighters discovered the bodies of a 34-year mother and her three young children. The children were only 9, 6 and 5 years old.
Timothy has been taken into custody for his alleged role in the mobile home blaze, charged with one count of first-degree arson and four counts of first-degree murder.
“We are shocked and horrified about what has happened to our family. We can’t understand how someone could do this to them.” a family member said.
Police said witnesses spotted Timothy running from the fire that morning.
A motive has not been established. Timothy was found the next evening, camped in the woods not far from the crime scene.
Authorities confirmed that Timothy is a Level III sex offender, with previous convictions for child molestation and burglary with sexual motivation.
