Writing in Israel Matzov, Carl in Jerusalem publishes the following:
There have been a lot of stories in the media about Hamas or Hamas and Fatah 'activists' encouraging shopkeepers in the Hebron area - from which the three boys were kidnapped - to destroy their CCTV footage from their security cameras to obstruct the search for the boys...
The picture at the top of this page is from the official 'Palestinian Authority' Facebook page. It was posted on Friday afternoon, and as you can see, it is plainly calling on shopkeepers to destroy their CCTV footage so as not to help the IDF in its search.
That's right, our supposed 'peace partner' whom the 'international community' wants us to give a 'state' alongside us is calling to obstruct the search for three teenage boys.
It is bad enough that the Obama administration is now legitimizing Hamas, but our allegedly "moderate peace partners" in Fatah are encouraging local Arab shop owners to help the terrorists get away with kidnapping Jewish teenagers.
Meanwhile Hebron is under a blockade and around 80 Arabs have been rounded up for questioning by the IDF.  The IDF is also conducting house-to-house searches in the area and there can be little question but that lives in both the Jewish community and the Arab community are being seriously disrupted.
If I were Netanyahu I would seek to eliminate Hamas by any means necessary because there can be no peace agreement with them, nor one without them, so long as they control the Gaza.
Fatah, on the other hand, needs to be made to understand in no uncertain terms that unless they give up encouraging violence toward Jews in their media and accept Israel as the national homeland of the Jewish people, life will be made very difficult for them.
Mahmoud Abbas' wife, meanwhile, is receiving medical attention in a hospital in Tel Aviv.
Perhaps her husband should be in a prison somewhere nearby.  He was involved in the planning and / or financing of the 1972 Munich Massacre, was he not?  Given that fact, I am fairly amazed that Israel has not picked him up long go.
In any case, he is certainly no partner for peace and he should be treated as such.
Finally, there must be serious consequences to this act of war by local Arabs and their leadership.
For thirteen centuries the Jews were punching bags in the Middle East under the foreign domination and occupation of Arab colonizers.  According to Efraim Karsh there was at least 200,000 Jews in Israel at the time of the Arab-Muslim conquests, but that by the nineteenth century 95 percent of the Jewish population was wiped out, leaving a mere 24,000 in the area by the time Samuel Clemens showed up to wonder where everyone had went?
