Story: Far From Heaven starts when Cathy Whitaker (Moore) learns her perfect Connecticut life isn’t what she thought. She is welcoming and shows kindness to Raymond Deagan (Haysbert), her gardener’s son. However, society frowns upon her friendship with him, and her husband Frank (Quaid) has a secret that she wants fixed.

When Cathy starts spending time with Raymond, her societal place gets questioned. She must battle to keep her life together, as the world around her chances, while battling her urges to move away from the societal divide.

Verdict on Far From Heaven

The movie follows a high-society woman who finds her place in society questioned. On one side others look down on her for a friendship with a black man and in secret her husband has been having an affair with a man. She must decide what she wants in her life if she is going to make it out of the situation.

Best Parts

The best parts of the movie come from showing how society can turn on people for the wrong reasons. It shows how Cathy does the right thing in life but everyone else judges her for her actions. This can add frustration in how the world was, but it proves how much needed to change. The performances are fantastic from the whole cast who get their time to shine throughout the movie, with Julianne Moore topping the cast. This is a brilliant drama which proves people should be prepared to make decisions for themselves and see the world in a better way.
