Fangirl by @rainbowrowell

By Pamelascott

Cath and Wren are identical twins and until recently they did absolutely everything together. Now they're off to university and Wren's decided she doesn't want to be one half of a pair any more - she wants to dance, meet boys, go to parties and let loose. It's not so easy for Cath. She would rather bury herself in the fanfiction she writes where there's romance far more intense than anything she's experienced in real life.

Now Cath has to decide whether she's ready to open her heart to new people and new experiences, and she's realizing that there's more to learn about love than she ever thought possible.

I've become rather a fan of the author over the past few years so have quite a few of her back catalogue to get a hold of. I thought Fangirl was a fantastic read. I loved Cath and Wren. They are both brilliantly written characters who are different even though they are identical twins. I liked Cath the best. She narrated the book and I loved being inside her head. I share a lot of similar personality traits so felt able to really relate to her. Fangirl perfectly captures what it's like to start navigating a new, adult world after high school. Fangirl has the perfect blend of funny and sad moments. I adored it.
