10 more Legal Rights Objections were filed at WIPO today as part of the ICANN new gTLD program.
On of the applicants for .Music, DotMusic Limited ,which is owned by Famous Four, an applicant for 61 new gTLD’s filed objections to the other 7 applications for .Music including the applications by Google and Amazon.
Famous Four also filed an objection to Amazon, the only applicant for the new gTLD .song which of course would be a natural competitor to a .Music.
Another company DotTunes Limited which is NOT an applicant for a new gTLD filed an objection against Amazon’s application for .Tunes.
Dot.TUNES seems to be an software program and app that that adds some features to iTunes.
According to DOT.Tunes site at DotTunes.net the term is trademarked.
