If you have been reading my #BlogFlash2012 posts so far, it should come as no surprise that the first thing that comes to mind when I see “celebration” is family. The biggest celebrations center on family. The birth of a child, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, and holidays bring families together. Our family celebrations always include food. Dishes that we look forward to each year include Aunt Judy’s butterscotch pie and Grandma’s fritters with real maple syrup. Many times these occasions are the only time that I see certain family members and get a chance to catch up on what is happening in their lives.
