As some of you may know I have been really getting into reading. When I started to get into reading, I was reading more of the Mystery/Thrillers genres of the book world. After watching some Booktube I learned about cozy mysteries. There were a lot of recommendations for a few authors who write cozy mysteries.
The first author I tried and absolutely fell in love with her writing style and story she has created is Tonya Kappes. She has various book series but the one I tried first was the camper and criminal cozy mysteries. What I love about these books is they still have the mystery part of murders or who done it, but it is not as dark as a full-on Mystery/Thriller book. Tonya writes the characters, so you want to keep rooting for them and want to keep going back into their world.
The very first book in the series is Beaches, Bungalows & Burglaries. In this book you will meet the lead character Mae West and how she ended up living in an RV in a campground. The main character is not only relatable but someone you want to become friends with. There is also a bit of romance in this book but that really picks up more in the following book in this series and trust me after you read this book you will want to keep going.
Tonya also has in the back of her books some recipes and tips for camping. These tips are ones that could be used even if you do not camp. I know there are a few that I am going to be trying very soon. So, grab that blanket and cup of coffee or cocoa and pick up one of Tonya Kappes’ books and cozy in for a read that will have you wanting more and still warming your body with good feelings.
