Fake Apple products worth Rs 2.3 crore from China have been caught at the US airport. These Apple products have been seized at Washington Dulles International Airport in the US, which cost $ 2,90,000 i.e. approximately Rs 2.36 crore. According to US media reports, Apple products, including AirPods and Apple Watch, were being shipped from China to Virginia in the US.

In the month of March, US airport officials seized thousands of fake Apple products from China. According to the NBC Washington report, these fake Apple products were shipped from China on March 15, which included 1,000 Apple AirPods Pro and 50 Apple Watches. These products were seized by US Customs and Border Protection on March 29.

US Custom Department officials found in the investigation that these Apple products are fake. Apple’s AirPods and Watches were packaged with the company’s signature samples. However, so far no penalty has been fixed regarding these fake products.

iOS 16 will detect fake AirPods

Apple has been troubled by fake AirPods and AirPods Pro for a long time. According to a report in 2021, Apple has suffered a loss of about $ 3.2 billion i.e. about 26 thousand crore rupees due to this. Apple has added a feature in iOS 16 that tells you if you’ve connected a device with fake AirPods.

In the latest update of iOS 16, users get this feature, in which users get an alert when a fake device is paired with the iPhone, with a notification on the screen that the headphones connected are fake. Users can detect fake wearable devices using this feature of iOS 16.

New feature coming in iOS

Apple is working on a new system that will restrict iOS features based on location. This feature has been spotted in the hidden design of iOS, which the company is currently testing. For this, Apple’s engineers are using hard coding techniques, which will restrict the features according to the user’s location.
