Yes, he’d rather go barefoot and chose not to put on his new pair of boots until the family has arrived at the big capital city where that neat and shiny gear would surely look cool. I was amused as I watched him and his siblings get restless inside the cramped Buka airport terminal as they, and the rest of the passengers including us, waited for the plane that was to take us to Port Moresby. He agreed to quickly pose for my camera and then rejoined his siblings in watching the plane and the slow activity at the nearby runway.
