“Flowercraft” /Autonomous Region of Bougaiville, Papua New Guinea / December 2012
There were two items in the list of illegal activities in Papua New Guinea that got me both surprised and amused: witchcraft and home brew. While visiting villages in Bougainville and the Western Province of PNG, I never witnessed any activity that I could remotely associate with witchcraft nor did I think too much about it. I was interested in trying a home brew but never got the chance. At least I found this boy practicing a different craft — that of putting together a strand of flowers after sipping its nectar.
