a difficult post
I think many people use religion as a justification for what they want to do, with many things including covid behavior. Do most people really believe the rabbi is the authority on medical treatments that they don't understand any better than anyone else, or do they just use the rabbi's opinion as justification for what they want to do anyway? when the kid has a sore throat do they call the rabbi and ask if they should go for a strep test and take antibiotics? when it is time for the kid to get the polio vaccine do they call their rabbi to ask?
