Facebook pages used by celebrities, corporations, politicians and other public figures to interact with their fans and customers are being redesigned.
On Wednesday, Facebook started to introduce a cleaner design for Pages to make it easier for users to switch between their personal Facebook profile and their public page. The social network also said that users can find important information like a page's bio and post faster with the redesign. The company eliminates the total number of "likes" a page receives and instead just shows the number of followers.

Facebook has added more features to Pages, including the ability to share videos and photos that disappear within 24 hours as it competes with rivals such as the short-form video app TikTok and messaging app Snapchat. However, additional tools can also make the social network appear cluttered. Hence, it is not surprising that Facebook has redesigned the social network.
Facebook adds other features to Pages, including a way for users to host questions and answers on their page. The company said a dedicated newsfeed will include suggestions for public figures, pages, groups, and trending content that a page or public figure might be interested in.
Like other tools on Facebook, Pages was used to spread misinformation, spam, and other objectionable content. The company said it was getting better at detecting and filtering hate speech, violent, sexual, spam content, fake accounts and phishing, but did not elaborate on the improvements. Blue check marks are also more visible so that users can spot comments or posts from fake Facebook pages or profiles. For example, a comment from a page that has been checked with a blue check mark may appear higher in the comment area and news feed.
