Facebook Announced: “There is Not Such Thing as Free Lunch”

Facebocalypse 2.0 has arrived. Most of you may have noticed the change of Facebook news feed algorithm from late last year. Now the first social network in the world has tighten its rules again and wants you (marketer) to pay to reach the same number of people you have engaged naturally by posting content on the wall. So, how much damage has the new algorithm caused to those companies that find Facebook an important way to target their customers?

Christopher Penn from Shift Comm developed a calculator to check how much cash we will need to reach the same audience by paying sponsored posts to Mr Zuckerberg’s empire.

All you need to do is insert your FB page, and the number of posts you would publish a day. It should come out with the equivalent of bucks we are meant to pay to get the same kudos, likes etc..
