Fab Find Friday: At the CFDA (Hot Pink!)

One of fashion’s biggest nights took place this past Monday in New York City- the CFDA Fashion Awards! Fashion designers, Hollywood A-listers, supermodels, editors and more of the who’s-who of fashion all come out to honor and support the nominees for the CFDA Awards. The event turned out a red carpet that happened to be one of my favorites in a long time—everyone looked stunning! The red carpet for this event is not about major drama or being ultra glamorous, but rather pays tribute to the nominees and the work they have accomplished in the past year. It’s all about the fashion, baby!

Liv Tyler wore Proenza Schouler, who took home the award for Womenswear Designer of the Year. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen wore their own line, The Row, which was nominated for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear. And Lady Gaga brought her usual avant-garde A-game as she was honored with the Fashion Icon Award. Overall, I thought everyone dressed the part and looked amazing.

While not nominated, but still a very familiar and successful face of the fashion industry, Michael Kors was also in attendance at the CFDA awards with two very hot young dates on his arms. Both wearing head to toe Michael Kors looks straight from the 2012 Resort collection runway, supermodel Miranda Kerr and Hollywood starlet Ashley Greene looked flawless! The Victoria’s Secret model was a perfect example of how hardware accents, like the statement making gold cuffs she was wearing on each wrist, elevate a sleek black dress—just like what we posted about last week!

And Ms. Greene also went with a clean modern look in a hot pink number accented with black sequins. I have to admit that I really, really want this dress now! She styled her outfit in true Michael Kors fashion with nothing more than a structured black clutch and simple sandals, and Greene had only one piece of jewelry on- a simple, but long silver cocktail ring! Another example that minimal hardware accents, while simple, can really make your look that much more modern and fashion forward!

Ashley’s ring was plain, but we picked out some of our long and slender silver cocktail rings that you can rock in the same way she did! Of all the 1928 jewelry I own, I have more of our rings than anything else and I can definitely say its because I always get compliments on them when I am out. Statement making and truly unique, your outfit can go from cute to chic for less than $30. Fabulous!
