If you are interested in pursuing a career in consulting, the “EY Internship Fast Track ” could be an opportunity of your could interest. In a few words you will be able to combine your thesis with a relevant internship at EY and you could benefit of a faster selection process.
Master thesis project: Do be decided in collaboration with EY and your supervisor.
Obviously this thesis can not be assigned unless you obtained an internship at EY. However the selection process is integrated with the preparation of your thesis proposal and will follow these phases:
- Phase 1: Student works with supervisor on one-page proposal and reach a preliminary agreement. I encourage you in contacting me as soon as you have decided that this opportunity can be beneficial for your career goals.
- Phase 2: The student start the selection process at EY. In other words EY will always have the final say for admitting you in their internship program. The fact that you are presenting yourself with a relevant proposal can help you in this phase however is not automatic.
- Phase 3: if the student is accepted in EY will finalize the thesis proposal in collaboration with his supervisor and his selected mentor at EY. Your preliminary proposal will be refined in collaboration with your mentors
- Phase 4: the student will start his/her internship at EY. This internship is fine-tuned to your thesis and the works that you will be doing will also be part of your thesis as well.
Note: Based on performance to be decided if student’s contract is prolonged after the graduation. In other words EY is committed to your success and to your career. If you will do a good job they will be happy to keep you around!
Note 2: EY support the idea of publishing the outcome of the research conducted in the thesis. This activity can be in the form of a scientific publication and eventually part of the work can be of a patent for proper safeguard of the intellectual property. These opportunities will be reviewed on a case per case basis.

(*) The Internship can be from 3 to 5 days depending on the needs of the student. EY IT practice is based in Amsterdam. IT audit is an exception and is available in Eindhoven as well. Students will receive a travel allowance (19 EURcent / kilometer with a max of 40 km one-way ticket ) and receives an internship allowance (+/- 750 EUR / month for 1 FTE). In addition the student might still be allowed a student-OV reimbursement.
