One of the most wanted hackers by the United States, Lauri Love, is fighting to stop his extradition from his home country of the United Kingdom to face charges in an American jurisdiction.
Lauri Love is currently facing some mental health difficulties, which have prompted his team of lawyers to file a plea to the federal court.
His lawyers, along with other supporters from the general public, are pushing on the government to stop Lauri Love's extradition and be tried in a local court system.
An appeal has already been submitted to the courts regarding Lauri Love's extradition. In late November, officials announced they would reserve their decision to a later date-expectedly early next year.
The case has put British Prime Minister Theresa May in a state of a dilemma on the correct action to take. The general public is advocating for her to act on the case and stop the extradition while the U.S. government is pressing for a potential indictment in Lauri Love's case.
Lauri Love holds a dual citizenship of the United Kingdom and that of Finland, where his mother comes from. He went to Finland for further studies but he never completed his studies there.

Members of parliament have written a letter to England and Whales Attorney General Jeremy Wright concerning the Lauri Love case.
They highlighted that Lauri Love would be in a very high risk of suicide if he is sent to the U.S. and subsequently imprisoned.
The members of parliament are pushing Wright to involve the American counterparts and act on the case of Lauri Love. It is the second time the members of parliament have raised their concern on Lauri Love's case of extradition.
It was back in October 2016 when more than 100 members of parliament wrote a letter to the then-U.S. President Barak Obama. They asked him to block Lauri Love's extradition to protect his safety while in his home country.
