So you've noindexed a page...
...and Google told you about it.
Who cares right?Well that's all fine, as long as you did it on purpose.
Let's briefly go over why this may be a problem.
Why is this a problem?
The "noindex" robots meta tag tells Google to "not index" this web page.
To appear in a Google search result, your page has to be crawled and indexed by the Googlebot.
So if you have set a page to "noindex" it will not appear in any Google searches.
This is fine if it's a useless page that has no SEO value, but if it's an important page, then you could be missing out on traffic.
How to fix it?
Fixing this problem involves changing the meta tag from "noindex" to "index".
How you do this will depend on your CMS.
In WordPress for example, you may have a plugin called Yoast, which offers you both page level settings, and sitewide settings to noindex certain types of content.
In other ecommerce platforms such as Shopify or Opencart, you will most likely have a 3rd party extension that is adding the tag, or it has been hardcoded.
After you have removed the tag and cleared any cache, resubmit the url to Google through the URL inspection tool.
