By Ripleydaniels @mikesobol

Whether you go with your significant other or a group of friends, Barcelona is a great place to travel to. This Spanish city is filled with so much culture and history that you will never run out of exciting things to do.  The weather in Barcelona is mild year round, so you can go there at any time. If you plan on visiting this fine city in the near future, here are some of the attractions you should check out.

Magic Fountain

The Magic Fountain is just something you can’t miss out on when you are in Barcelona. It was built in 1929 for the Barcelona World Fair and it still remains one of the city’s most popular attractions more than 80 years later. When you see the water, light and music come out of this fountain, you will be absolutely amazed.

Picasso Museum

If you have an appreciation for art, you should definitely visit the Picasso Museum. This museum does not hold any of Picasso’s most famous paintings but features many of his early works. It is located inside a few gothic mansions in the medieval section of Barcelona.

Tibidabo Hill

Visiting Tibidabo Hill is a must, especially if you have kids. When you are on top of this hill, you will get a chance to see breathtaking views of the city. There is even an amusement park on top of this hill that that entire family will get a kick out of. The easiest way to get to the top of the hill is to take a bus from the Plaza Catalunya.

La Sagrada Familia

La Sagrada Familia is one of the most famous buildings in the world and is definitely worth visiting when you are in Barcelona. It was designed by Antoni Gaudi more than 100 years ago and is the only church in the world that is still being built. Just last year, the interior was finished and opened for the public. This is one of the most popular attractions in Barcelona, so make sure to book a bus tour ahead of time.

Barcelona Zoo

The Barcelona Zoo is an attraction that both children and adults will enjoy. This zoo features more than 500 different species. Whether you want to see the monkeys or dolphins, you will find it at this zoo. If you have kids with you, make sure to visit the farm area where they can pet the goats, lambs and pigs.

Barcelona Football Stadium

Be sure to visit the Barcelona Football Stadium, even if you do not have any tickets. It is the largest stadium in Europe and is filled with jerseys, balls, photos and displays. This well-known stadium is also used for concerts and other events.

The Spanish Village

The Spanish Village was designed in 1929 to represent Spanish architecture and continues to be a popular attraction in Barcelona. This preserved village is filled with restaurants, shops, concerts and cafes, so you could spend the entire day there.

Whether you decide to visit the Picasso Museum or Tibidbao Hill, you will have an enjoyable experience in Barcelona.
