Ex NFL Player Rae Carruth Released From Prison
Former Carolina Panther player Rae Carruth was released from prison this morning after serving 18 years for conspiring to murder the mother of his unborn child.

Carruth, who is now 44, was found guilty of orchestrating a plot to kill Cherica Adams in 1999 to avoid paying child support. Adams was shot four times while driving her car.  Carruth reportedly was driving in the car behind her, when a man he hired pulled up beside Cherica and shot 4 times into her vehicle.  She died a month later in the hospital.  Her unborn child, Chancellor Lee Adams, survived the shooting, but suffers from permanent brain damage and cerebral palsy.  He is being raised by Cherica’s mother, Saundra Adams. He turns 19 next month.
