I've read a few books in the series and have enjoyed them so was looking forward to reading Evil Impulse. I'm not disappointed. This is a well-written, fast-paced and very enjoyable thriller. I don't like Geraldine all the time, she makes some foolish decisions because she's blinded by the fact Helen is her twin sister. I shared Ian's frustration with her stubbornness. This made her very human and easy to relate to. Like all good thrillers, the whole story is gradually revealed as Geraldine and her team struggle to find any evidence and ID the killer. I thought I knew who the killer was fairly early on and was delighted to be completely wrong. This is a decent thriller.
