So this is our third year in existence.
As in, this is our 3rd anniversary.
Well, I guess that means this blog has powered through that mythical “after year two everything goes to crap” or blogging just stops happening for personal reasons and what not. You know what that means?!?
Time for some small reflection of course!

Not celebrating this like I should eh?
When I started this blog back in 2010, it’s safe to say I had little idea of what I wanted to do with it. Ok, there were some things, but as for any real goals or what not, there were none set. I had the innate desire to want to write about anime and manga, and wanted the internet to go see it. Would you believe me if I said that I still don’t have any real goals for this blog? You probably don’t, and you’d be right. I have ideas of what I’m mostly fascinated in, and have already begun thinking of potential stuff to do for 2014. Yes, we will still do reviews of stuff at the most unhealthiest rate possible because we can (and companies like sending us stuff and there’s stuff out there to talk about, obscure and not so obscure). But I do hope you’ll like what we’ll be working on soon enough.
Otherwise, I learned a lot this year. Which you can totally bet I’ll talk about more next year, but for now, I’ll share the basics: having to manage a team ain’t easy. The worst is that it only gets more challenging the longer a blog runs, especially if there’s no money exchanging hands and stuff. The motivation runs out, especially if you A)don’t have a super readership and B)have other things to worry about in real life. And as someone who has to check for everything, it’s pretty tough.
And yet, I still feel like there’s something to say about some aspect of Japanese Pop Culture. What that is who knows. But blogging about it is the way for me, and I hope I can keep doing this for some more time. I also hope you’ll enjoy what everyone else happens to do on the site as well.
…OTHERWISE thanks for sticking around. If you guys have any suggestions on what we should be talking about, I’ll consider it. Probably. Or maybe someone else will consider it. Probably. If you have any thoughts on the site design, you can talk about that too. Mostly everything’s up for discussion.
…Probably (I really need to stop using that so often).
