At the end of October 2018 I started a weekly series on my Facebook page called Everyday Portugal, with a installing calçadas in Funchal, Madeira
so I could find the collection. The series consists of little anecdotes about living in Portugal, accompanied by a picture from my phone. The individual anecdotes were too small for a blog post, but the right size for a Facebook post. Like Month 8 there was only one post for this month, so I'm expanding it with more examples. These are all pics and videos from my phones - except one DSLR image - shot around the country. If you've ever seen workers installing calçadas, you'll see how much time and labour it takes to create these mosaics.
