Ever Wonder? Wedding Time Line of Events
Sorting through the events of the day for my daughter's wedding and I thought it might be helpful to put this out there.  Have you ever wondered how much time should be allowed for each part of the wedding day?  To tell you the truth, I had never even considered the thought until I started to work with a wedding planner...we will talk about their importance at a later time.
I put together this 7 hour wedding event planner.  You will have to certainly shorten the times if you only have your hall for less time.  I planned for seven hours for Danielle's since she is actually getting married in a church at a different location.  So there had to be time to get from there to the reception.
Ever Wonder? Wedding Time Line of Events Assuming the Wedding Starts at 4:00 PM  4:00PM:  Ceremony Starts- the amount of time you a lot for this will greatly depend on how long your ceremony is and how far away you are from the venue- so plan accordingly  5:30-6:15PM: Cocktail hour or light refreshments and hors d'oevresAt this time, the bride, groom, families and bridal party will be getting wedding photos done. 6:15PM: The Bridal Party is formally introduced. 6:30-8:00PM: Dinner will be served.  I blocked this as one whole time since my daughter has selected a pig roast.  People will be meandering around selecting their food.  You can divide this up if you are having courses and allow for toasts and dancing while the dishes are being cleared. 8:00PM- The bride and groom have their first dance  8:15PM- Toast traditionally by the Father of the Bride but in our case it will be me since I am hosting the wedding.  This toast if the wedding is not being given by the parents can be done by someone selected by the bride and groom. 8:30PM- Bride and Father dance followed by the Groom and Mother Dance and then open dancing. 9:15PM Toast by Maid of Honor and by the Best Man- you can also include a toast by the groom's parents. 9:30PM Cake Cutting 9:45PM Thank you toast from the Groom- the bride can also speak if she wants 10:00PM Cake is served and dancing resumes 11:00PM  Wedding comes to an end  I hope this helps.  This is merely a guide so feel free to change it around.  It helped me merely plan everything in. Kisses, Deborah Stilettoswww.Facebook.com/MyDaughterIsGettingMarried
