I'd never been to the store before (in fact, I'm really not that clued up about Middlesbrough) but luckily arranged to meet Danni and Kloe to walk down. We were greeted with a champagne reception and Dr Steve Cochrane began telling us about the brand and their plans for the future.
Helen, Psyche's lead buyer showed us some key pieces for SS14 and talked us through the trends; bright colours, lots of prints, monochrome, sportswear and boyfriend denim.
The pastel shades from Ted Baker SS14, so pretty! The Regency House print tee and shorts look so cute together.Psyche also stock Michael Kors, of course the watches and bags are incredibly popular, but these leather leggings really caught my eye. The green top paired with them is another key color this season. We were shown around the Men's department too, which was full of tailoring and big brands like Hugo Boss, Barbour and Ralph Lauren. Psyche also stock a lot of Scandanavian brands, especially in terms of denim and there's such a range.
I first thought that Psyche would be a bit too 'high-end' for me, but it actually isn't. They want to be affordable and know there isn't a market in Middlesbrough for luxury high-end brands like Burberry, Gucci etc. When their new store opens in Leeds, I imagine they'll stock some of the higher end designer labels because they will sell there, it's a bigger city with a lot more people wandering around.
