Sparkling wine festival returns to Edinburgh for 2017
Fizz Feast "A Celebration of Sparkling Wine & Scottish Artisan Food" will be taking place on Saturday 18 November at The Edinburgh Academy on Henderson Row following the success of last year's event.
Fizz Feast is the only consumer wine fair dedicated to sparkling wine in Scotland and this year there will be over sixty Champagnes and sparkling wines from all over the world available for tasting and purchasing too. There will be a number of well-known names such as Taittinger Champagne and Codorníu Cava along with interesting Prosecco and Franciacorta from Italy, some fantastic English Sparkling Wine from Greyfriars Vineyard there will also be a few surprises such as less well-known fizz from Portugal.
By popular request there will also be a number of artisan food producers from all over Scotland. These include Stag Bakeries from the Isle of Lewis, Tobermory Fish Company from Mull, Damn Fine Cheese from Dumfries & Galloway and the award-winning Supernature Oil from Gorebridge, just south of Edinburgh. There will also be oysters, chocolate, tea and charcuterie amongst other temptations proving that the festival is about food as well as wine!
"Christmas is the time of year to embrace all things sparkling" says organiser Diana Thompson of Wine Events Scotland. "This is the perfect opportunity to plan festive fizz and gifts for family and friends. It will undoubtedly be the most enjoyable Christmas shopping experience in Edinburgh."
Fizz Feast is being held at The Edinburgh Academy on Henderson Row Edinburgh. Tickets start from £22 each and guests have the choice between two sessions 12-3pm or 4-7pm.
