Eve Owen has shared the video (directed by her sister, Hannah) for new single ‘Blue Moon’ ahead of the release of her debut album ‘Don’t Let the Ink Dry’ via 37d03d Records on 8 May. The album, produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner, was written over the course of three transformative years that found Eve immersing herself in creativity.

A song ‘about unrequited love, but not the hurtful kind. It’s when you love someone so dearly that even if they turn out to be just a friend, you’re grateful’, ‘Blue Moon’ opens with an evocative burst of Lucy Dacus-style electric guitar work before Eve pleads: ‘Don’t let me go again. I’ll never let you break, I’ll clean up your mistake’. She then goes on to profess her platonic love amidst cherished memories (and a National-esque soundscape) of friendship and kindness.
