There have been way too many movies and television shows to count that have had vampires and other supernatural creatures as the focal point, but most don’t make an impression the way True Blood has. Although much of the attention is given to the male vampires, we can’t forget there have been some fierce and popular female vampires as well. Female First compiled a list of the Top 10 Female Vampires and one True Blood woman made the cut. Arguably Kristin Bauer van Straten‘s Pam should have made the list as well but sadly we did not compile it.
The role of Queen Sophie-Ann was definitely altered from the Sookie Stackhouse novels to the way the character played out in True Blood and Evan Rachel Wood brought her to life. Although she ultimately met the true death all over Bill’s living room, while she was on the show she proved that being smaller and female doesn’t have to stop your rise to power.
Other notable ladies who made the list were Salma Hayek‘s Santanico from the movie ‘From Dusk Til Dawn’, Sarah Michelle Gellar from ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’, and Kristen Stewart, who played Bella in the ‘Twilight’ series.
