They have decided to abandon the functional pavilion-centric grid and to create a veritable City of Lights complete with streets, squares and points of social focus intended not just for businesses. The classic layout has been changed to a circular route and in a virtual simulation they have found that with the classic layout you can travel about 1.2 km to see a whole pavilion, while with a circular route in about 500 meters you pass in front of all the stands.
