ESPN gets a lot of heat from me for doing some ridiculous things. However, their 30 for 30 series has been outstanding and the latest edition is one of the best. I’ve been a Jim Valvano fan since the first time I saw his ESPY’s speech. If you haven’t had the opportunity to see the 30 for 30, make it a point. Valvano was a great man who worked his magic on that 1983 NC State team. The Wolfpack beat a ton of giants en route to the National Championship that year and their leader was a charismatic personality that owned the big stage. It’s a shame he left us too early.
