According to the Official Media Spokesperson of the Ministry of Prisons Management and Prisoners Rehabilitation Affairs and the Department of Prisons,Chandana Ekanayake all the inmates who escaped from the Thaldena Open Prison Rehabilitation Centre in Badullawere arrested.
On 17 April (yesterday) early in the morning, nine youths escaped from this center.
Two of the escapees were arrested by the prison officials and four others by the Migahakivula police yesterday (17).
According to Spokesperson for the Prisons, the inmates were arrestedfollowing a search operation carried out by the prison officers in the forest reservation around the campthis morning (18 April).
