The daughter of Eric Garner, who was choked to death by a NYPD officer, is fighting for her life in a Brooklyn, NY hospital.
Erica Garner was hospitalized on Saturday night, her mother Esaw Snipes said, after an asthma episode caused a heart attack. Snipes said her daughter had given birth four months ago and during the pregnancy had learned that she had heart problems.

Thursday morning it was reported that the activist was in grave condition and on life support.
“She’s not gone, she’s brain dead,” Garner’s mother explained early Thursday. “Physically she is still with us.”
“Right now, the family is just praying and asking for everyone to keep her in their prayers,” said Snipes, who is Eric Garner’s widow.
Shaun King of the Tom Joyner Morning Show went to visit Erica in the hospital on Thursday, and said the activist does have limited brain function, but doctors see some activity.
