So, you would love to check out Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival but are worried your younger ones won’t appreciate the scenery as much as the rides? This is what I thought when I decided to risk adding this into our schedule BEFORE Magic Kingdom during our recent stay at Walt Disney World. I was dead wrong.

My kids absolutely went crazy for the character topiaries. They got to see some of their favorites like the stars of Cars, Monsters Inc. and Lion King but were also mesmerized by famous Disney princesses and princes. My son, age 2, would not budge from his spot in front of Mater and Lightning McQueen, while our daughter could have spent hours in the Butterfly house and the Oz: The Great and Powerful garden. For them it was a great day of getting to see their heroes in all their flowery glory. For my husband and I it was a leisurely break in the middle of a hectic (yet always fun) week of theme parks. We also managed to hit all of our must see permanent attractions as well. Epcot is known for its size and you will do a lot of walking when you visit. Going during this festival allows you to stop and smell the roses while you enjoy everything Epcot.
