The entertainment news source immediately pulled the information from their website.

Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing the iconic villain Khan, a genetically enhanced tyrant, in the upcoming film Star Trek of Darkness according to Entertainment Weekly.

Cumberbatch was previously rumored to be playing the highly publicized and equally mysterious John Harrison.

On Feb. 8, 2013 the promotional materials for the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly shot down Cumberbatch’s rumored role as Harrison and confirmed the actor as villain Khan.
