End of Month View – June 2013

As I am away I took these photographs on the 23rd June so not quite the end of the month but near enough.  The front garden is filling out and I think it is doing well considering a lot of the plants have done in within the last 12 months.

I am toying with putting some Nepeta along the end of the lawn behind the Descampsia to add some color though I am hesitating as I have Six Hills Giant (or whatever its called) and it is rather floppy and I don’t want it flattening the grasses.  There are lots of annuals and young perennials in this area anyway so I will see how things progress over the rest of the year before making a decision.

I am though very pleased with the border along the driveway which has been in place for some years now and is really coming into its own.  The bees adore the Echium and now the alliums are coming out I suspect they won’t know what to do with themselves.

As ever anyone is welcome to join in with the End of Month View meme and you can use it in any way you wish.  Some people like me focus on one area over the year others choose to give a tour of their garden – whatever suits you.  The beauty of the End of Month View is that we all get to have a nose at your garden rather than just seeing close-ups of flowers!  If you do join in please leave a link in the comments box below and it would be great if you could link to this post in yours.
