I visited the Auberge property in August on a drive from Arizona while I was staying at the Inn of Five Graces downtown.
Although the property lacks the soul of the Five Graces, it is a beautiful property. It reminds me of Bardessono in Yountville with its clean lines and contemporary feel. Not all the rooms have the best views, and you must carefully select the best ones prior to arriving. The restaurant is charming with New Mexican flair and surprisingly reasonable prices. Due to the desolate location, they offer free shuttles to the downtown area and to their concierge office there as well.
I would say the property is for a seasoned New Mexico visitor looking to enjoy the stunning scenery and glorious weather in a private, exclusive setting.
