I won Emperors Once More by Duncan Jepson via a giveaway on the Goodreads website.
Emperors Once More is a fast paced and well written crime thriller. It is set in Hong Kong, in 2017 and explores crime, social media, global economic and Chinese cults from the distant past. The mix makes a exciting and fasted paced read. It is gruesome in parts, but Duncan Jepson does not overplay it, so it balances well. All in all Emperors Once More is a very good crime thriller and stands well with its peers.
