Emperor Bigly Ordered Jared Kushner & Steve Bannon to Bury the Hatchet

Posted on the 09 April 2017 by Sumithardia

All throughout the past week, the emperor’s son-in-law has been showing his teeth. Jared Kushner has seemingly been on the war path, literally and figuratively, if that war path involved school-boy blazers coordinated with flak vests, mint juleps, seductive gazes at attractive soldiers and not-so-subtle leaks to the press. You see, there’s a battle within the White House about who daddy loves more. Does Daddy love Bigly Boy Jared more, or does Daddy love Steve Bannon more? Bannon is the nationalist, white supremacist and malignant narcissist. Kushner is the one closest to Precious Ivanka. Bannon = raging id. Kushner = prep-school superego. Who will daddy choose? As it turns out, probably neither.
Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner, two warring senior White House aides, had a bury-the-hatchet meeting ordered by President Donald Trump, after arriving at Mar-a-Lago this week. The sit-down, which was confirmed by two White House officials, was an attempt to smooth over tensions between the two men, which have dominated headlines for days. Whether the meeting was successful in creating a détente – and how long it lasts – is an open question, especially in a White House that has been dominated by infighting.
Bannon and Kushner had for months been allies. In recent weeks, though, there has been substantial discord between them. The fight, people in the administration say, centers on policy differences. Bannon, White House chief strategist, is a flame-throwing populist who formerly ran Breitbart News. He has criticized Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, for his more politically moderate approach. Kushner is suspicious of Bannon’s fiery style and has been concerned about how he’s influencing the president.
Suspicion between Bannon’s team and Kushner’s has intensified in recent days, with both sides accusing the other of planting negative stories in the media. Word of the meeting comes as several news organizations reported Bannon, and possibly other senior White House aides including Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, could be soon be forced out in a broader shakeup. The White House communications director, Michael Dubke, declined to comment.

[From Politico]
It was widely reported on Friday and Saturday that the “staff shakeup” could happen soon enough, although the White House seems to be shrugging off those rumors. Which means it probably will happen, who knows? All I do know is that the hashtags #FireKushner and #FireBannon were all over Twitter on Friday and Saturday. The #FireKushner one was funny/sad because, oh right, Bigly Trump tapped into a deep vein of anti-Semitism and there’s no way that genie is going back into the bottle. So Bigly is reaping what he has sown on both fronts.
You know what else is funny? Really think about this: if Precious Ivanka went to her dad and said “My husband is your guy, you should fire Bannon,” Bigly would probably do that. So why hasn’t Ivanka said that yet?
