Emmy Wish List: Best Supporting Actor in a Drama

Posted on the 13 June 2013 by Sirmac2 @macthemovieguy

I couldn’t narrow the category to five. So we have six again. Only the second time though.

1) Freddie Highmore, Bates Motel

Is he too young? Technically, he’s the lead. I think , he’s trying to go for supporting, figuring that he can’t really compete against the lead actors. That’s a shame, because he is just as good as they are.

2) John Noble, Fringe

Because it’s the last chance to nominate him for his amazing work on Fringe. Never before nominated. Come on people.

3) Ryan Hurst, Sons of Anarchy

Sure, he was barely in the season, but the few episodes he WAS in deserve to be nominated. Opie brought this season the powerful punch it needed.

4) Jeff Perry, Scandal

I’m guessing they submitted the episode where he had the naked argument with his husband. If so, he should be a shoo-in.

5) Corey Stoll, House of Cards

You can’t ignore that Corey was terrific this season on House of Cards, struggling with addiction, doing what’s right, and all the while just being Kevin Spacey’s pawn.

6) Norman Reedus, The Walking Dead

Because of the scene where he finds his brother… and you trying to act like you didn’t cry.

Who would you pick?
