This is a stacked category. Basically, you have three front runners… Laurie, Mackie, and Root. Then, you can basically pick three more from the Wild Cards. If I had to guess, I’d bet on Travolta, Whitaker, and Molina, because of their name and generally respected status as actors. Brown is less well known, and Jessup as well. Cooper’s 11.12.63 doesn’t quite have the prestige as the other projects either. I don’t think he can break through here, though because he is Chris Cooper, he is very much in the race.
I probably would skip voting in this race, as I haven’t seen many of the nominees. I thought Jessup did a good job, though I’m not sure I’d pick him as the American Crime standout.
