Following in the footsteps of several of its rivals, Emirates has become the latest airline to “fly” into the world of NFTs. They are going to release tokens that have not yet been fully confirmed. Their NFTs are designed to be both collectible and useful.
There isn’t a lot of information available on Emirates’ NFTs. Although it is clear that the company is forward-thinking and passionate about the industry. “We are hopeful about the digital world’s future. And we are investing heavily in both financial and human resources to develop goods and services that make use of sophisticated technology to boost revenue, brand experience, and operational efficiency “Sheikh Ahmed, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Airline and Group, made the statement.
Clearly, the airline’s first project is now underway and will be finished in the next months.
For airlines, NFTs have great promise. They may offer them to customers in exchange for experiences, aircraft tickets, and other products and services. The industry’s first entry was airBaltic, a Latvian airline. In November 2021, the airline awarded a restricted quantity of NFTs. A one-of-a-kind Airbus A220-300 and a piece of art from the city of Kuldga were among them.
