More handheld lens practice today with the 80-400mm lens. The wind shifted with recent storm activity and SFO reversed their air traffic patterns, which meant shooting a clean aircraft accelerating up and to my right. Emirates Airlines operates 90 of these aircraft. Maybe it was the late afternoon light, but the white paint looks dingier that others I have seen. Nikon D7000 with 80-400 mm lens (with 1.4x teleconverter). Shooting handheld at 550mm AND cropping the image to get a usable image is a good test of the optics and VR system.
