Verdict on Emily the Criminal
Emily the Criminal is a crime thriller showing the desperate lengths a woman will go to in search of a finically secure job. She takes a role helping a criminal group commit credit card fraud and finds herself getting in deeper than she expected.
This is a nice crime thriller that hits on a different level. It shows how difficult finances can become for those who are in debt. The same people work day in and day out and it never seems to solve the problem. This movie brings a potential solution that does bring out an interesting idea to what we get to see. Aubrey Plaza is great in the leading role, that quite clearly has a message about the corruption in the employment world.
Final Thoughts – Emily the Criminal is a great thriller that feels grounded.
