Embraer ERJ-145LR, United Nations

@ Amman, Jordan

April 2024

Saw my first UN aircraft while departing Amman, Jordan. The United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS), managed by the World Food Program (WFP), offers safe, reliable, cost-efficient and effective passenger and light cargo transport of humanitarian personnel to and from areas of crisis and intervention. UNHAS uses a fleet of more than 90 aircraft, including helicopters, chartered from commercial air operators. The Embraer Regional Jet (ERJ) family are regional jets designed and produced by the Brazilian aerospace company Embraer. The ERJ 145 is typically configured for 50 passengers, this one is a former Chautauqua Airlines aircraft.
