Billionaire Elon Musk in 2011 said that he would place a man in Mars in the next 10 years. Now, a decade later, the internet wants to know what happened to its promise.Mr Musk has repeatedly said that he wants to make humanity a “multi-planlet species” by building colonies on the red planet. The aircraft engineering company, SpaceX, is developing a prototype rocket that is able to bring crew and cargo to Mars and so on.

In April 2011, during an interview with Wall Street Journal, Mr. Musk was pressed to provide a time frame when humans could land on Mars. “The best case, 10 years. The worst case, 15 to 20 years, “Mr. Musk answered. Now, a little more than 10 years later, the interview has reappeared online. A Twitter user even shares the screenshots of the Musk quote, which has now become viral with more than 36,000 likes and nearly 3,000 retweets.

Since being shared, the post has received hundreds of comments as well. While one user jokes, “To help him keep the promise, we have to send it as soon as possible,” said another, “he is good so far. Normal business predictions are usually one or two years.” “Hey @elonmusk, where you are Being on the mission of Mars? ” Ask the third. “Covid slowed everything. Let’s give a liberal number of more than 5 years,” said the fourth. Spacex has made a lot of progress in building his mars rocket, but it is not fast enough to fulfill the initial time line. Earlier this year, Mr. Musk revealed That he had pushed back his target date to reach the red planet. Bringing to Twitter, he said that he now saw 2029 as the earliest date that might first step people on Mars.

Recently, the CEO of Tesla and Spacex even talked more about the mission of his Mars. In a tweet addressed to former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Mr. Musk said that he hoped to get people on Mars in 2029.When Techie Pranay Pathole based in Pune asked him how confidently he completed Starship’s first crew mission to Mars before 2013, Mr. Musk answered, “Still the initial stage of it. Getting the space ship reliably to the orbit, then reaches full reusability & directly from both stages so far is the top priority. “In particular, if the target date of Mr. Musk sneered further into the 2030s, it would be very close to when the NASA US space agency aimed to send the first astronaut to Mars.
