Hello, if you're reading this you might have read my debut novel Elemental or you might be thinking how colourful the cover is and wondering whether or not to buy it or buy it for your kids perhaps? My advice is that you should! In case you still need convincing I should tell you something about myself. Some of it is true maybe even all of it. I was born in Liverpool, home of The Beatles, and still live there five minutes walk from the famous Penny Lane. I used to write alot of stories when I was a child; one about a lion even won a prize. I once invented a whole alternative world; not a fantasy one but one set in the present day of the time but with different countries and places. All of this strangely stopped when I grew up because I lost my imagination. It fell down the back of somewhere but one day in about 2002 I found it again. Elemental was written over a long period of a decade with the story being changed and changed again till it got better and I also wrote several follow ups so the adventures of Tom Allenby have only just begun.
I wanted the story to be set in the present day more or less (offically it is set in July 2013) and from there gradually become more fantastical. All of the dangerous threats Tom and his friends face in the story are based on real things that you could possibly see. So next time you're walking through the woods be careful where you tread and watch out for....well, that would be telling!
