«After 3 months of dating, James and I booked a spontaneous trip to the Philippines in September 2019, that was cancelled at the airport due to bad typhoons, so we ended up in Bali instead. After this trip, we knew it could lead somewhere special, although James’ Visa ended in December, giving him 30 days to leave Australia, for me to quit my job and pack my life up into one suitcase. Upon arrival in England, COVID had hit and our future remained unclear, but after 18 months of hard work, what resulted from being stuck in London was a successful business, a house in Herne Bay, and our darling little Kodi. What seemed like all odds against us, we built the foundation for a love that will last forever.»
«Little did I know, that when I flew home to England from reuniting with my Australian sisters in the European Summer of 2022, I’d be flying home to England as a fiancée! «My wedding dress is called Amberley by Blanche Bridal. I had to drive from Kent to Liverpool (5 hours) four times to try it on, get measurements, order, try on again, pick up my veil, and take her home. They are Australian designers who only stock her in Liverpool, I had to have her! And my husband-to-be graciously understood my inner “Carrie” from Sex and the City couldn’t get her off my mind and paid a lot more than expected, but when he saw it, he said it was worth seeing how excited I was to wear her on the day! I’ve since had her cleaned and will frame it once we move back home to Australia because she’s truly a piece of art!»
«My advice to a bride who is now planning her wedding: «Don’t get caught up in the details, everything will fall into place on the day. Always hire a wedding planner so you can relax and know that they have it all under control. And make sure you hire a Wedding Content Creator, I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t relive every moment through the videos and heartfelt clips captured.»
The most memorable moment of our wedding was when James picked me up in the first dance, and the cold sparks went off, and the crowd erupted!
