The application by Atiku Abubakar and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ), to inspect the server of the Independent Electoral Commission ( INEC) has been dismissed by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
The former vice president and the PDP had alleged that INEC manipulated the February 23 election results after the electoral body announced President Muhammadu Buhari as winner.
Dismissing the application on Monday, Justice Mohammed Garba, Chairman of the panel, held that granting such application at this interlocutory stage would preempt the substantive petition.
